24 hours. That’s all we had to turn an idea into a functioning product at the PhilTech Innovathon 2026. Our goal was ambitious: create an AI-driven app that could detect learners’ emotions and guide their study habits in real time.

The first few hours were a whirlwind of brainstorming and prototyping. We mapped out the core functionality: emotion detection using AI, personalized study recommendations, and an intuitive, friendly interface to keep learners engaged. Sleep was optional, caffeine was mandatory.

Challenges popped up constantly—integrating real-time emotion detection, designing a UI that felt human, and making sure our app could adapt on the fly. But every obstacle pushed us to think creatively and iterate fast. By the final hours, we had a working demo that could analyze a learner's emotional state and suggest study adjustments accordingly.

At the end of the hackathon, we presented our AI emotion-aware learning app to the judges and other participants. It wasn’t just about the product; it was about proving that even in 24 hours, a focused, passionate team can build something meaningful and innovative. We left the event energized, inspired, and ready to keep developing the app further.
